Photographer

My name is Beauty Buthelezi and I am a portrait and travel photographer.

I took the long route to photography by studying fashion design. After completing my studies, I decided to buy my first camera and I havn’t put it down since. While working as retail buyer, I continued with the photography as my true love. I finally took the leap and decided to quit my job and travel around Southeast Asia, focusing on bettering my skills in photography.

That is when I discovered my love for portrait and travel photography. As a photographer I am driven by the connection I have with the people I photograph. Making sure they are comfortable and having fun as much as I am. People are vital contributors to what we are creating and I believe that they need feel that because that is how you get the best work.

My journey so far has taught nothing you have experienced along the way is ever wasted and that is why I use my past experience in fashion, retail and traveling in my photography. My background has developed strong skills in planning, creative problem solving, independent traveling, working on a budget and being able to meet tight deadlines.

My mission as a photographer is to create a connections with people, tell stories that bring us closer together as humans and hopefully bring joy.
