About Beauty

Beauty Buthelezi is a portrait and travel photographer based in Cape Town, South Africa.

Originally from Empangeni, KwaZulu-Natal, her creative path began in fashion design, where I learned to work with form, detail and emotion. But it was behind the lens that she discovered her truest medium. What started as a personal exploration while working in the corporate retail world soon became a calling. After leaving her retail buying job to travel through Southeast Asia, photography became more than a passion, it became a purpose.

Her work is deeply human. She photographs not just what she sees but what she feels, moments of connection, dignity, joy, sadness and stillness that speak across language and culture. Whether it’s a portrait filled with quiet strength or a travel image that invites you into another world, each photograph is an invitation to slow down and notice.

Her portfolio offers a narrative of presence and shared humanity. it offers warmth, relatability and moments that feel personal because they are. Her lens is guided by empathy and curiosity. She aims to create work that resonates, not only as art to observe but as stories to feel.

Every image is a window, a reminder of how beautifully connected we all are.
